Anchorline Dental is a general and cosmetic practice on Severn Avenue in Eastport — two dentists, four hygienists and five treatment rooms a short walk from the Spa Creek bridge.

Crowns are designed and milled in the office. Most single crowns are scanned, milled and seated in one visit of about two and a half hours, with no temporary crown and no second appointment.

Every exam ends with printed photos of your teeth and a written plan: each step, what your insurance is expected to pay, and what is left for you.

Two Dentists, One Chart

Dr. Elise Marrow and Dr. Ruben Castellano see patients from age three to ninety-three. Both dentists read every new set of X-rays, so a second opinion is part of the visit rather than a separate appointment. Dr. Marrow leads cosmetic and crown work; Dr. Castellano places implants and handles extractions and molar root canals.

Crowns in One Visit

Most single crowns are finished the day they start. We scan the tooth instead of taking a putty impression, design the crown on screen with you in the chair, and mill it from a ceramic block in the next room. Plan on about two and a half hours, including a break while the crown is glazed and fired.

Sixty-Minute Hygiene Visits

Our four hygienists book cleanings in 60-minute blocks, not 45. That leaves time for gum measurements, X-rays when they are due and a few minutes to go over what they found. Children can be booked back to back with a parent, so the family comes in once.

Clear Aligners, Checked Every 8 Weeks

Aligner treatment starts with a digital scan and a preview of the planned tooth movement. Most adult cases run 9 to 18 months. You collect new trays at a short check-in every 8 weeks, and refinement trays are included in the quoted fee.

Low-Dose 3D Imaging

For implants and difficult extractions we take a cone beam scan in the office. It shows bone height, nerve position and the sinus floor in three dimensions, so the implant position is planned on the scan before the appointment. Routine checkups use digital bitewing X-rays only.

New Patients — First Visit

Anchorline Dental is accepting new patients. The first visit takes about 90 minutes: X-rays, an exam with one of our dentists, a cleaning if your gums allow it, and a printed plan you can take home. We file claims with most PPO plans for you.

That’s us — Anchorline Dental.

Meet our dentists and hygienists.

Dr. Elise Marrow and Dr. Ruben Castellano opened Anchorline Dental in 2019 with two chairs. The office now runs five treatment rooms, four of them staffed by hygienists on weekdays.

Spanish and Portuguese are spoken at the front desk and in two of the treatment rooms.

New patients —
insurance and payment

Anchorline Dental is accepting new patients.

Whether you are due for a cleaning or need an old crown replaced, the first visit is the same: X-rays, an exam, a cleaning if your gums allow it and a written plan with the expected cost of each step. You see the numbers before you book the next visit, not after.

  • We are in network with most PPO dental plans and file the claims for you.
  • Before any treatment beyond a cleaning, we send a pre-estimate to your plan and share the reply.
  • Out-of-network plans are billed at the same fees; we file the claim and your plan pays you directly.
  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and HSA or FSA cards.

Bring your insurance card and a photo ID to the first visit — the front desk scans both and hands them back before you sit down.

  • X-rays, an exam with Dr. Marrow or Dr. Castellano, and a cleaning if your gums allow it.
  • A printed plan with the expected cost of each step.
  • Please arrive ten minutes early, or fill in the forms we email you the day before.

PARKING — Six marked patient spaces behind the building, free during your visit.

  • Open 8am to 1pm on the second and fourth Saturday of each month.
  • Saturday appointments are hygiene visits, exams and same-day crowns.
  • Saturdays fill first — call a few weeks ahead if you need one.

Toothache on a weekend? Call the office number; the recorded message gives the number of the dentist on call.

  • Treatment plans over $800 can be split into up to 12 monthly payments, arranged at the front desk.
  • The first payment is due at the start of treatment.

Ask for a written quote — it lists every fee and stays valid for 90 days.

Frequently asked
questions and answers.

No. The crown is milled while you wait and bonded the same afternoon, so there is no temporary crown to lose and no second numbing appointment.

If a tooth needs a root canal or a gum treatment first, we tell you at the exam and the crown is scheduled for a later day.

About two and a half hours for one crown, including roughly 40 minutes in the waiting room while it is milled and fired.

We mill from the same ceramic blocks that outside labs use for single crowns. For long bridges we still send the case to a lab.

Plans that cover crowns cover them the same way whether the crown is made here or in a lab. We send a pre-estimate first.

Yes. We pick the shade with a guide in daylight by the window, and Dr. Marrow stains and glazes the crown by hand before it is fired. If the shade is off when you see it in the mirror, we mill another one the same day.

Call us. Bite adjustments in the first year are done at no charge, usually in a 15-minute visit. If the crown chips or breaks within five years, we replace it at no cost as long as you keep up regular cleanings.

When a tooth cannot be saved, an implant with a crown is the replacement that does not touch the teeth next to it. A bridge or a partial denture can make more sense when the bone is thin or when several teeth are missing; we show you the scan and the cost of each option side by side.

After the implant is placed, the bone needs three to six months to heal around it. You wear a temporary tooth during that time if the implant is in the front of the mouth. The final crown is then scanned and milled in the office, usually in one visit. In some cases the implant can go in the same day the tooth is removed.

Most adults with enough bone and healthy gums are. Heavy smoking, uncontrolled diabetes and some bone medications lower the success rate, and we ask about each of them at the consultation. Implants are placed only after the jaw has finished growing, usually in the late teens. The cone beam scan at your consultation shows whether bone grafting is needed first.

Every six months for most people. If your gums bleed or measure deeper than four millimeters, your hygienist may suggest every three or four months until they settle. Most PPO plans cover two cleanings a year; we check your plan before booking a third.

Scaling and polishing, gum measurements once a year, X-rays when they are due, and a short exam by one of the dentists at the end. The visit is booked for 60 minutes.

We scan your teeth and show you a preview of the planned movement before you decide. Crowding, gaps and most bite problems in adults can be treated with aligners; severe cases are referred to an orthodontist, and we say so at the consultation.

Refinement trays, the check-ins every 8 weeks and the first set of retainers are included in the quoted fee.
