Treatments
Who we see

A tooth that has started to twinge, a child’s first visit to a dentist, someone who has not been in for years — the same clinic, on the same street in Honmoku.

What we treat

What we treat

From stopping the pain to the cleaning that daily brushing cannot reach, we settle on a plan you can keep up with, inside what insurance covers.

Common questions

Mostly decay and gum disease. We keep the drilling to a minimum, and at every visit we say what was done that day and what comes next.

Usually includes
  • Fillings
  • Gum checks and treatment
  • Root canal work
  • Advice on wisdom teeth
  • Night guards for grinding

A first visit is often nothing more than sitting in the chair and going through how to brush. We do not rush a crying child; treatment waits until coming here feels ordinary.

Usually includes
  • Fillings in baby teeth
  • Fluoride
  • Sealants on back teeth
  • Brushing practice
  • Advice as adult teeth come in

We take off tartar and staining, then go over the spots your brush keeps missing. When to come back depends on the state of your gums that day, and we tell you then.

Usually includes
  • Scaling
  • Stain removal
  • Gum measurements
  • Brushing advice
  • Fluoride
How we work
We would rather be somewhere you drop in before it hurts than somewhere you come once it does. So appointments are kept short, and more of that time goes on explaining than on waiting.
On pain and time
A tooth that has been drilled does not grow back. So when waiting and watching is a real option, we say so plainly instead of deciding on the day.
On how treatment proceeds
Dental language does not travel well. We put the X-ray and a photograph of your own mouth on the screen and point at what we mean to do.
